Amal Hamdy graduated in 1987 from the Suez Canal University with a bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture. She had worked as an Instructor at the Suez Canal University from 1988 to 1996. In 1995 she completed a M.ASc. degree in “Variable Pitch Stator Array to Induce Swirl Upstream of High Speed Marine Propeller”. In 1996 she went to Memorial University of Newfoundland for her Ph.D. degree, which she competed in 2000 under the title of “Investigation of Ship Structure Response During Ship Maneuvering”.

Amal has been with E.Y.E. Marine Consultants since September 2002. Amal is an expert in vessel Maneuvering, Motion Analysis, Resistance and Propeller design, AUTOCAD, RHINO, Longitudinal Strength, Tonnage, Loadline Calculation, Mooring Arrangements and Stability.
